Pitchfest - UPDATES

Hello everyone,

Thanks all who have already bravely posted their pitches in the forums

Just some housekeeping notes to keep me sane:

1. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post your pitch INSIDE either the PITCH CAREN or PITCH ELANA threads. Do not create your own thread in the main forum window. I will delete these. Why? Because it's cluttered and then Caren and I can't tell who you are pitching. If you are a guilty party, please go post your pitch in the proper place.

2. The pitchfest is not overriding or getting in the way of our normal query process. It's totally up to you.

3. We'll respond to them all tomorrow. You will likely get an email from one of us if we request your work. But check back in the forums as we comment on the pitches.

Thanks again!

Elana

just wanted to make a comment to ALLY who posted HER DECISION. This reads like a medical romance, so if the agents don't take you on, contact me and I'll tell you how to submit it!

Thanks for the tips on how to do it right!

This is exciting! I've had fun making a pitch. Thank you for the opportunity.

Hey, if we are still waiting to hear back on a query, can we enter pitchfest? Or would you rather we waited for the Q response? Thanks

I second Jean's post--thank you both so much for hosting the pitchfest and wading through our submissions! It's a great learning experience to just read through others' submissions and see common threads and topics that are lacking. Thanks so much!

If you're waiting on a query, just hang in there. No need to double-up here. We're still responding to queries at the usual rate.

A couple of us who worked hard to keep our pitches under 100 words have noticed that some are WAY over the 100 word limit. We're kind of curious...will those ones be disqualified or will they still be considered?

Sharpening . . , sharpening . . , sharpening . . . Every opportunity reveals more of the truth.

Thank you.

To Molly Evans thanks I will keep that in mind. Is there an e-mail address I can e-mail you at if I'm not one picked?
