Kenneth J. McKenzie
If there is anybody that knows the business of death, it's Ken. As he likes to joke, "I have buried more people than you can shake a stick at." Ken has been a funeral director for 22 years, and a funeral home owner for 14 years. Ken is a big community advocate in Long Beach, CA where he resides. He gives back to the community by donating 3% of his professional services charge (for each and every death call) to the charity of the family's choice. Ken is also the founder of the Men of Mortuaries Company that produces a calendar by the same name. Men of Mortuaries is a company that directly benefits his Breast Cancer Foundation, KAMM Cares. Ken established KAMM Cares to provide grants to women undergoing treatment to help offset unforeseen financial difficulties. In his spare time Ken likes to restore classic cars and renovate homes. His collection of stories from mortician's nationwide, MORTUARY CONFIDENTIAL, co-authored with Todd Harra, will be published by Citadel in Spring 2010.
