Mary Ann Scott

For Mary Ann, her favorite childhood activity was wandering through old cemeteries in search of a good story, reading each headstone as a cultural/historical love letter, not just a numerical notation of someone’s lifespan.  Growing up in a haunted house was just a bonus.  She shared her passion for literature by teaching high school and college English for almost 10 years before she settled into her own writing.  Now, with her two kids in school full time, she spends her days juggling freelance editing, SCBWI duties, and writing historical ghost stories for young adults. She's currently hard at work on her novel, Behind the Darkling Veil.
